What is Hop Extract?
Hop extract is a concentrated product made from the flowers of the hop plant. It retains the same ingredients as hops, but in a concentrated form. Through special extraction processes, the valuable components of hops, such as bitter compounds and aromas, are extracted, leaving only the hop extract. This process serves to preserve the natural and pure hop product. Due to its liquid form, the extract is particularly easy to dose and use, enabling efficient and precise utilization of hop aromas in the brewing industry.
How is Hop Extract Made?

To produce hop extract, the hop cones are dried and ground. There are two different methods for extraction: CO2 extraction and ethanol extraction.
In CO2 extraction, liquid CO2 is passed through the hop powder, dissolving the hop oils and resins. In ethanol extraction, ethanol is used as a solvent to extract the hop components, mainly resulting in aroma extracts.
Afterward, the solvent is separated from the extract, and the extract is filled into airtight and light-protected containers.
